NDA (National Defence Academy) is a premier institute that trains the cadets (candidates) to take admission in Indian Armed Forces (Indian Army, Indian air force and Indian Navy) as officers. Candidates get selected by qualifying a national level entrance exam (NDA 2017).  NDA is conducted by UPSC (Union public service commission) two times in a year.NDA (1) will be organized on 23rd April, 2017 and NDA (2) will be held on 10th Sept 2017.Candidates can check here detailed information about application form ,exam dates, qualification, age eligibility ,syllabus and exam patterns.

 NDA 2017 Application Form:

  • The NDA Application Form 2017 will be filled and submitted through online process at official website of UPSC.
  • The application form will be issued from 18th January 2017(for NDA -1) and from 7th June 2017(for NDA-2).
  • All the candidates are suggested to fill their application form carefully.
  • No change will be permitted after final submission.
  • Candidates should keep ready with a scanned photograph and signature in prescribed format and size before filling application form.
  • The last date of filling application form is 10th Feb, 2017 for NDA-1 and 30th June, 2017 for NDA-2.
  • There is no requirement to send printed application form to the authority.

Application Fee:

 It can be done by cash payment in any branch of SBI or through net banking, Visa /Master /Debit card.

  • For GEN. and OBC – 100 Rs.
  • For others – No fee charges

NDA Eligibility Criteria:

NDA 2017 eligibility Criteria is same as NDA in 2016. The eligibility Criteria is defined under four categories such as Nationality, Marital status, Age limit, Education qualification and Physical standard. Candidates should match these eligibility criteria to appear in examination. Other detailed Criteria is as follow:

For NDA-1,
Candidates born not before 2nd July, 1998 and not later than 1st July, 2001 are eligible to apply.

For NDA-2, Candidates born not before 2nd January, 1999 and not later than 1st January, 2002 are eligible to apply.

Physical Standard                  candidates should be physically fit as per to the guidelines set by NDA and Naval Academy Examination. Candidates who have resigned or withdrawn on disciplinary grounds from any of the training academies Armed forces are not eligible to apply.

NDA Educational Qualification:

  • Army wing of National Defence Academy: candidates should have passed 12th from a well reputed board.
  • Air Force and Naval wing of National Defence Academy and 10+2 cadet entry: candidate must have passed 10+2 with Math and Physics with well known education board.

NDA Syllabus:

It is divided into two parts i.e. Mathematics and General ability test. The General ability test section will contain English, Physics and Chemistry.

  • Fill complete required information for registration.
  • Then fill the application form.
  • After that a registration number will be generated, note down it.
  • Now go through link Registration part-2.
  • Make the payment either online or offline mode.
  • Upload your scanned photograph and signature as prescribed format.
  • Read out the complete details and then click on “I Agree”.
  • Now candidates are able to take printout of application form.
